Ada Zanditon Illustrations!

I was absolutely ecstatic to be able to do more illustrations of Ada Zanditon's clothing! Having already illustrated some of her previous collections for Amelia's competition, I knew i'd enjoy doing more.

This time the illustrations were for a London Fashion Week review in Amelia's magazine.

You can see these in the review here. I'm really happy with how these came out, the clothes were just wonderful to draw!! Be sure to check out the other reviews while you're there, there are some beautiful designers and illustrations!

Before coming up with these final images (that included the sculptures from the catwalk) I did these ones:

 Hope you like them! :)

Perfect Purchases

This week I decided it was time to treat myself to some lovely prints! I already have some from Kayleigh Bluck after winning a giveaway!!

Firstly I bought a print from the lovely Fritha Strickland, I've loved her work since the first time I saw it! Her drawings have a simplistic style which I love and they never fail to make me smile!! As well as the print, she sent some lovely goodies as a thank you! :) aww!

Here's the print I bought, just as beautiful as i'd hoped for! :)

Beautiful handmade card, transfer tattoo, badge and magnet! Absolutely perfect package, thank you!! :)

And I now have the most perfect fridge with magnet from Fritha and the wonderful Kayleigh

So, my second purchase this week was from the lovely Danielle Complin. Again, I adore her lovely little designs that always make me smile! They're just so cute! I bought a set of three birds and was very happy when they arrived this morning! :)

Gorgeous!!

I have a few new illustrations to share later on! :)

More olf stuff!

I just wanted to share some pieces of work i've done over the past year. I'm heading back to uni soon, and i'm really excited to start, especially now my work has taken on a whole new level this summer!

These were all for a Magazine brief, in which we got together in groups and up an illustration magazine. These are my pages. Our theme was the human body, I looked at different body parts, as well as emotions!

Something New!

Well the last few days i've been working on some food illustrations for Amelia. It's to accompany a blog on her travels to Denmark, and i'm sure she'll talk about her decision to take a ferry across rather than a  plane! I haven't done any food illustration before but i'm very pleased and I'm looking forward to sharing the picture soon..

Make sure you keep checking Amelia's Magazine this week as they'll be doing some fabulous articles on London Fashion Week that starts today!! Exciting! I've offered my services (and also agreed to as a condition to be in Amelia's new fashion illustration book) this week, so i'll be answering some call outs and doing some illustrations of London Fashion Week!!

As well as this, I have two projects for the police - one is some illustrations to go in a leaflet about door and window security and the other is a spot the difference worksheet for children. Very excited about these and the deadlines are quite tight so I know it'll be a crazy few weeks..

Finally, I'm doing something a little different and somewhat riskey! It involves nudity but i'm strangely really looking forward to it. I've started it today and so far I'm happy! I'm back to Uni on the 27th so it's going to be hectic until then, especially since I haven't looked at my dissertation for some time! I know what i'm doing at least..

Ada Zanditon

Hello! Just wanted to show you this work in process i'm doing for Amelia’s Compendium of Fashion Illustration. You may remember it from an earlier post. I've been asked to add to it and make more of the background, try to move it away from the original image!

I was hoping for any thoughts or advice on it if you have any! :)

Roksanda Ilincic

Hello! I've just finished another illustration for Amelia's Magazine! It was an over-night brief so it got me back into working quickly which I liked! I'm really pleased with the outcome! I can really feel my work and confidence in it coming along nicely. I think the more I do, the better i'm getting, which is fantastic!!

This piece was for a London Fashion Week preview! Very exciting!! The designer is Roksanda Ilincic and I really fell for her bold designs!

Check out the image live here!

I'm going in for my first day as a police volunteer today! Nervous but excited! And i'm looking forward to more London Fashion Week stuff and a little project that is much different from my usual stuff, which will be very fun! :)

Startled Cat!

Just a little picture I did to get me going! :)

Music Print

JUst thought i'd share this print I did a while back - mainly because I haven't got anything new to share yet and wanted some new work on my blog! :)

This image was a print from a lino cutting I did, based on a drawing to music!

Venice and The Lagoons

Sharing my photos of Japan reminded me I needed to show a couple from Italy :) also a very inspiring and wonderful visit! Enjoy!!

:)

Tokyo and Kyoto!

Hello! I'm back from my wonderful holiday and wanted to share a few of the hundreds (800 to be exact) of photos we took! It was such an amazing place and the weather was un
believable! (35 degrees most days! A little too hot in fact.)

The skyscrapers in Tokyo were amazing, the temples and shrines in Kyoto breath-taking and the people the nicest i've come across! All in all it was fantastic! I'm looking forward to doing some Japan inspired drawings!

I've got a long list of things to get on with now, lots of illustrations, as well as going for my first volunteer day with the police - doing illustrations to go in leaflets I think! :) aaand i've just ordered a Wacom Intuos4! My little bamboo has been amazing but it's time for bigger and better!

This was near our hotel, in Shinjuku. We ate here quite a few mornings. It was one of the first building we saw and straight away I was in awe with Japan.

This was just outside of the Imperial Palace and the rest didn't disappoint either!

A wedding we happened to stumble upon.. it was rather spectacular!! What an amazing place to get married!

And as amazing as Tokyo was, nothing quite prepared me for Kyoto! It was so beautiful and peaceful, and somehow the people were even nicer!

And this is the worlds most lovely man!! :)

Here and some more fabulous building and views! :) I want to put more up but this gives you some idea of how amazing it was!
