New Cat Illustration - Ozzy

I just wanted to pop in and share this latest illustration with you! I illustrated this gorgeous little guy for a Secret Santa present. The recipient loved it and I was so happy to be able to give her something a little bit special.

I'm working on a couple of Christmas commissions at the moment and will share them when I can. If I don't post beforehand, have a wonderful Christmas!!

New Illustration - Cat Portrait

Hi everyone! I know it's been a while but wanted to share my latest illustration with you! I'm really happy with how this little guy turned out - I was a little nervous about working with so much fur, but really enjoyed working on this image.

The recipient was really pleased with the results, which is my favourite part of being a freelance illustrator - the wonderful people (and animals) I get to work with!

Etsy - Abby's Illustrations

Hello everybody! Sorry I've been a little quiet for a while, I'm busy working on new projects which I should be able to share with you soon (I get very impatient waiting for illustrations to go live!)

I just wanted to let you know that I've reopened my Etsy shop, stocked with a number of custom portrait and pet portrait commission options. Evie - pet portrait illustration

 I was delighted when Abby Wiltshire commissioned me to illustrate a picture of her lovely dog, Evie. She's absolutely gorgeous and although I was a little terrified about drawing all that fluffiness, I'm very happy with the results. I hope you like it too!

ETSY SHOP!

Hello everybody! Well, I'm very happy and excited to announce that my Etsy Shop is now launched and open for sales! I spent yesterday afternoon taking photographs ready to show my work in the best possible light (I turned out to be a little tricky in this miserable weather!) I'm happy with how they turned out, here are a few of the images...

 

My shop is selling a number of prints and a few custom illustration options. Pop over and take a look! Let me know if there's a print you'd like that is not available in my Etsy shop and I will happily make it available for you! In the coming weeks I will be adding limited edition prints and a set of illustrated cards!

Dog illustration...

I was lucky enough to be commissioned by the very lovely Hannah Greenwood recently (@Hannahpianna on twitter. If you haven't seen her work, go and take a look now, it's stunning - lots of beautiful paper cuts and designs).

After seeing some of my (newly ventured into) pet portraits on twitter, she asked me to illustrate her dog, Mr Socks. He's beautiful and I was so excited to take on my first pet commission. I love that people have such faith in my abilities! (Thank you!!) Anyway, I'm so happy with the way he turned out and she loved it too.

All nicely printed up and framed. (I send all my prints in beautiful board backed frame mounts. The framed picture at the bottom was for display/photograph purposes only). I really loved how it printed. I'm even using this guy for advertising purposes. What do you think of the advert below. The 'woof' was a bit of a joke, but I've been told it adds charm, fun and accessibility... Do you agree?

Now to get back to some new limited edition prints I am working on and start work on a lovely  Father's Day illustration commission!

Promotional Work

Just popping in with a quick post!

Yesterday I was working on some promotional postcards, so thought I would come and share them with you! I'm planning to get a large bulk of these printed in an A6 format to hopefully spread the word of my personalised commissions. Let me know what you think! :)

Animal Updates...

I decided it was about time I returned to show you how that cat illustration turned out! I wanted it to be worked in the same way my fashion/people illustrations are; bringing in areas of colour and using a little shading and much line work.

I always love seeing my work printed and framed. I actually prefer the way it looks printed to on the screen (hard to show on the internet really!)

I've also started on a few others... I'll leave you with some little tasters! (You'll also see I've started a dog illustration too! Trickier than cats, I tell you!)

Something a little different...

Hello everybody! I just wanted to let you know I'm still here, just very busy working on ideas and plans for the near illustration future. At the moment I'm working on personal illustrations that I wouldn't normally tackle - challenging myself and getting ready for a new little adventure (I'll tell you more when/if it happens...)

Today I will be working on this illustration I started last night. I've never ventured down the animal route before, but I must say, I'm really enjoying this piece! I may bring you the finished piece later, I just wanted to bring you a little work in process. Do you like her so far?
